The apartment
The accommodation consists of the main bedroom with a double bed, a smaller second bedroom with two single beds, both rooms have built in wardrobes. There is a fifth bed that is stored under the settee. The lounge/ dining room has a small kitchen at one end and opens onto either a patio or small balcony area at the other end depending if you are on the first or ground floor. The kitchen has two electric rings, a small belling style oven, a microwave, a kettle, a toaster and a good size fridge/freezer. The bathroom has a small bath with a good shower over it, a toilet and basin. The apartments were refurbished in 2006 and offer simple clean accommodation.

All bed linen is supplied as well as bath, hand and tea towels this is changed weekly, if you have booked a 10 night stay liaise with the office for a laundry change day, should you require a more frequent service please enquire at the office as to the extra costs payable locally.
There are no maid/cleaning facilities included during your stay. The apartment is of course thoroughly cleaned prior to your holiday, should you require interim cleaning please enquire at the office as to the cost again payable locally.
Facilities
There is an on site management office run by an English lady (Jan) who will be on hand for any queries/advice also to deal with any maintenance issues. There is a full time maintenance man (Carlos) so any issues are dealt with promptly. The office is open six days a week and there are out of hours emergency numbers posted on the door should they be needed.
Money can de exchanged at the office.
Fans, high chairs and cots are available for hire at a local charge.
There is a swimming pool with a separate kiddies area, sun beds are provided on a first come first served basis.
There is a bar by the pool which serves drinks and snacks.
There is a small children’s play area in the communal gardens.
The resort
Arenal has about a dozen bars and restaurants to suit all tastes and budgets, three or four small supermarkets and a smattering of gifty type shops. There is a pharmacy, a doctor’s office/surgery, newsagents and about four car hire offices. A car is not essential for your holiday as the resort can offer all your day to day requirements but we recommend hiring one even if just for a couple of days to visit some of the rest of the island.
Arenal has one of the best beaches on the island and it is just two minutes walk from the apartment down some steps, alternatively you can access the beach without using the steps, about 5 minutes walk. On the beach you can hire pedaloes, sunbeds and beach umbrellas. There are several restaurants on the beachfront for snacks, drinks or lunch.
There is a bus service, which goes to Mahon the capital and also to Fornells a fishing village a few kilometres along the coast. There is also a road train that will take you around the resort and into Na Macaret a small fishing village nearby.
You can walk to Son Parc the next resort along the coast (about 30minutes walk)

How to get there
Menorca’s airport is situated just outside the capital Mahon. To transfer from the airport to Arenal d’en Castell take a taxi from the rank just outside the arrivals hall. The journey takes about 20 minutes. The cost is about 30 euros each way (higher charges may apply on public holidays). There is a pre bookable minibus service available for larger groups please enquire to us and we will be happy to supply you with the details.

We offer a 25% discount when the apartment is occupied by only 2 people (except during July and August).
How to book
Simply send us an email stating the dates that you require and we will mail you back with availability for the times requested. We are happy to reserve an apartment for you without a deposit for a couple of days while you find flights.
We have no fixed changeover day so you are free to take advantage of midweek flights if you wish; our only stipulation is a minimum booking period of seven nights. Your holiday duration can be as long as you want it to be (we have taken 8, 9, 10 day holiday bookings), the choice is yours!
If you are travelling as two groups we will do our best to accommodate you next door to one another where possible.
Please let us know when you book how many and which beds you would like made up.
How to pay
We ask for a deposit of £100 per week payable at the time of booking with the balance being due 6 weeks prior to departure. Please note that deposits are non refundable. We accept payment by cheque only.
At the resort
Your apartment number will be posted in the notice board at the Aremaser office, along with a map of the resort so you can easily find the complex and your accommodation. The apartment will be unlocked and the keys will be on the dining table so if you have a delay you don’t need to worry about meeting anyone at a specific time. (Menorca has such a low crime rate it allows us to do this)
You can gain access to your accommodation at 3.00 pm on the date of arrival and you will need to vacate by 10.00 am on your date of departure to allow cleaning to be carried out. If you have a late flight on your last day you can use the waiting room facility at the management office to store your cases. There are also 2 showers in this area which you are able to use. Alternatively you may choose to book an extra days accommodation to ensure that your last day is as relaxed as possible.
Special requests
We will do all we can to accommodate special requests (such as ground floor, near pool etc) but we cannot guarantee these requests as circumstances may not allow them to be possible. As we operate a totally flexible approach to changeover days we have to maximise the booking potential of these apartment to the full which may not allow all requests to be fulfilled.
